an opportunity to shift gears

the opportunity to retreat in community is a gift. i'd love to have you join for Pedal and Pause: A Rejuvenating Escape in DC this coming sunday

Earlier this week, I was on the phone with a rabbi and she was asking me about Circle and Spoke. In the midst of sharing how Circle and Spoke’s mission is about empowering women to “shift gears”, her mouth grew big in this big “Ohhh… shifting gears.”

Having the time and space to shift your gears on your bicycle, invites you to understand the cadence and support you need to shift gear in the terrain you are riding through in the saddle and out in your life.

Is shifting gears into greater ease and rejuvenation is something you are craving?

Because you are a human, carrying the weight of:

  • the polarized state of our world

  • the uncertainty of an upcoming election

  • the grief of living in the midst of a climate crisis

  • the sense of loneliness so pervasive in our society

And let’s be real sweetheart, this is on top of a laundry list of stressors that are weighing on your shoulders that make you want to curl into a ball.

I just want to say that I see you. You aren’t alone in this. That this is very real. And heavy.

And I’d like to personally support you.

Support you in having a moment of both feeling the weight of it all and having space to shift gears to:

  • feel rejuvenated

  • sense the blessings that do exist in your life

  • reconnect with your heart and soul and body

…so you can be in this world and plant in your own awesome ways seeds of peace, justice, creativity, gratitude….

If this calls to you, I personally invite you to join me in Washington, DC, this coming Sunday, October 6th for Pedal and Pause: A Rejuvenating Escape on Sunday, in NE DC.

It's going to be an empowering day of reflection, connection and biking (at a leisurely pace) exploring the stunning National Arboretum with an amazing group of outdoorsy gals.

Are are ready to pause from carrying the tremendous load of life and connect…

  • to your heart and soul?

  • to likeminded, rad women, who you have been craving to connect with?

  • to nature and the beauty of fall?

  • to your body and it’s incredible ability to move and to play?

It’s not everyday that we can retreat.

Retreats are magic (yes, you can quote me on that).

Retreats are an opportunity for reflection, rest and connection.

It’s one thing to do self-care solo and it’s another thing to feel the sense of magic in doing self care in community.

In the words of Becca, a “spoker”:

“Ellen is an amazing facilitator! The Circle and Spoke event was fun and meaningful. It was so great to take the time to connect, be present, and reflect in community.”

Becca, member of the Circle and Spoke community

I’d love to help you plant and harness a rejuvenated energy in your life.

Come join me this Sunday for Pedal and Pause: A Rejuvenating Escape from 10:30am- 4:00pm. This daylong retreat is $118, full of juiciness you’ll be carrying long after the retreat.

Hesitant to join because you are afraid you’ll be left in the dust? That’s so common in many biking groups and I assure you that Circle and Spoke is about connection not competition.

This is a leisurely no-drop ride, where we’ll we riding together in community, so you are welcome, however much you identify as a bicyclist, particularly if your bike has been gathering dust.

Wheels up,

Ellen

PS- And for those of you are entering the Jewish High Holidays this week, I wish you a shana tova. May this be a season of shifting gears into greater peace, connection and forgiveness for you and yours.
