Isn't it ironic...
I have a few pet peeves.
Using bathrooms with heavily scented soaps... Makes my hands itchy!
Leaving cabinet doors open… Can you not see that’s a target for my head to bop into?
People who are super attached to their phone… I’d like to have a conversation with YOU, not your tiny screen!
Determined to not become my own nemesis, a few years back I decided to fully embrace the Jewish ritual of Shabbat and started turning my phone off on Shabbat.
Can’t become super attached to it, if one day out of the week, it’s off!
So on Saturday night, as I turned on my phone after Shabbat, needing to confirm some Sunday plans, I was tickled to see the following message from my pal, Julie.
I immediately went to Instagram. The tiny little flyers that I dropped off at Upshift Workshop about our upcoming series — City Cyclist Community Clinic — for women and non-binary folks, got picked up on the 730AM DC Instagram?
I headed to Instagram to confirm!
On Shabbat, while I was taking a fantastic nap and had my phone off, we got a little free publicity from the lovely 730AM DC!
Huzzah!
Brilliant!!
Perhaps like me you have been taking a nap, and haven’t heard the tea? Circle and Spoke and Upshift Workshop are joining forces, to help you feel confident in the saddle this spring.
🛞 Does the possibility of getting a flat tire scare you, so you avoid riding long distances or altogether?
🚙 Do you worry about drivers with road rage and stay away from your bike because that seems like the safest choice?
